Bledsoe ClearedA spokesman for the University of Kentucky, DeWayne Peevy, says that Bledsoe was included in a normal academic review and also participated in a PSA (prospective student athlete) review by the NCAA Elegibility Center and was cleared academically. The university issued this statement after a report in the New York Times made the initial mention of an investigation.

Peevy says that the former star passed the extensive review process before joining the Wildcats. It is not expected that Barnhart or Calipari will make an official statement. This seems to disprove the academic allegations made in the report but still leaves the issue of rent being paid as an area of potential interest. On the other hand, this news could show that there is no merit to the other story.
