Poor officiating
don't think this is why the CATS lost, but i can't remember a game being stopped that many times so the refs could check the monitors (and still got calls wrong). Why didn't they go back and check Ortons put back, seeing how many times they went back to look at other stuff. Been nice to have made those "gimme" shots that Wall, Bledsoe, and Dodson missed

Yeah, the putback wasn't even close. It was 6 inches off the rim.

Re: Poor officiating
There has been a virus of this nonsense this year. I have seen more calls overturned by other officials than in any previous year.

Re: Poor officiating
From what I've seen UK isn't going to get the calls this year.

Re: Poor officiating
UK played like crap but there were numerous times they were over our back. Wall got killed one time toward the end of the game and there was no call. How big were those two bogus interference calls?

Re: Poor officiating
I think Bledsoe gets fouled more and it gets called less than any player I've ever seen.

Re: Poor officiating
I agree. Tons of BS calls that game. So many times Downey wasn't even touched but would shoot free throws. All the calls u all
mentioned plus that "walk" on Wall wasn't a walk IMO. Lol but I found a loservill thread on the game and they were talking about how UK was gonna rob another win by getting all the calls. They said nothing being called when Downey was hacked and wall and cousins were running ppl over and nothing was called. Lol. Loserville fans still aren't over the loss I suppose. I guess we get all the best calls and no calls...were just to blind to see it guys!

Re: Poor officiating
Even with calls going 100% right, UK still loses this game. Lack of effort from everyone not named Cousins or Wall is what did us in.
Nobody felt like rebounding the ball.

Officiating has not been bad or at least not one sided. Not sure what games you guys are watching.

Re: Poor officiating
I hate to lose but I will not whine. The officials are part of the game and I've come to learn that if it's called a foul, it's a foul & if it's not called then it wasn't. What actually happens does not matter because they never change their minds.
Re: Poor officiating
Don't know how many of you go to or follow other college teams in your particular area that are not part of a BCS conference such as the ACC, Southeastern, Conference USA or even Sun Belt?
I see most of the UNC-Charlotte games that are now part of the Atlantic 10 Conference. When they were in Conference USA, before the big split when the football schools went to the Big East, Charlotte would routinely get many of the same officials as the ACC or SEC and Sun Belt. In fact the supervisor of officials for the SEC also scheduled the officials for the Sun Belt and Conference USA up until a few years ago and had input on the ACC.
My point, now at the Charlotte games, every night there are quite often officials that I've never seen before at all on television or in person. There's a night and day difference in what I see at USC and what I see at Charlotte, which is only an hour apart in distance.
The difference is money. The SEC, ACC, Conference USA, Sun Belt pay more money and can draw the best of the officials. The A10 doesn't and I promise you it shows in a big way.
I disagree from time to time with officials at both locations and I'm sitting at midcourt or very near most nights with as good of a view as anyone. I'm not saying there aren't prejudices nor mistakes. What I am saying is if you want awful officiating like I saw last night in the Temple/Charlotte game with officials you've never seen, watch an A-10 game with Xavier, Dayton, Temple or any other non BCS conference and see if you recognize any of the officials and see how many horrible calls are made.
It's night and day awful.

Re: Poor officiating
Despite the bad calls, if Dodson and Bledsoe make easy dunks we win the game.
