Favorite Sports Personalities?
Well we all talk about who we hate in the world of sports. Mostly guys on the ESPN College Gamedays for football and basketball. Who do you usually agree with or like to watch because you think they're funny?
--------
My Picks:
-Stephen A Smith - Because everything he says is important! -- Not really but I just thought he was pretty good about informing the audience about the NBA. Also like he puts so much emphasis when he shouts the word "HOWEVER" just find it funny.
-Doug Gottlieb generally knows what he's talking about in college basketball. Calls things how he sees it and doesn't come off as a homer like Jay Bilas and Dicky V.
-Jim Rome. I listen to his radio show more often in the car but he too tells it how he sees it and sometimes can be funny too.
-Buster Olney, Peter Gammons - the dudes know baseball, nuff said.
-Mike and Mike in the Morning - if i'm up to watch them on ESPN 2 or listen on ESPN radio, i think they're pretty decent. Like how Golic gives Greeny a hard time on occassion.
-Those are just a few. what do you guys and ladies have?

Woody Paige--He's kind of a space cadet, but I like his humor and he's the only reason I watch Around the Horn.
Scott Van Pelt--He's an entertaining sports caster, with good humor and good knowledge.
I like the Mikes and Gottlieb is growing on me. Also since I'm a huge MMA fan, I like Joe Rogan and Gus Johnson, but only when he's doing MMA. I want to shoot him when he calls football and basketball.
Oh, and for the record I despise Jimmy Dykes.

Woody Paige is freakin hilarious on Around the Horn. They should of kept him on First and 10.
SVP is pretty cool in my book too.

Jim Rome is a lil bitch. I lost all respect for him when he baited Jim Everett into attcking him and then he tryed to crawl away.

I'm a big Joe Buck fan when he's calling the NFL or MLB. Jim Nantz is Pretty Strong in whatever he does. Liked John Madden on the NFL and Collinsworth SUCKS as a replacement.
Like Gus Johnson on a college basketball game. Keith Jackson was awesome as a college football announcer. Liked Dick Enberg, maybe my favorite television announcer of all time.
Cawood Ledford was the greatest college radio announcer of all time. Levi Gold is pretty good as well with the Crimson Tide.
Chris Berman and Tom Jackson are excellent NFL highlight guys.

I agree with all of these except Jim Rome.
Others I like are
Scott Van Pelt.
Dick Vitale (I know, he's an ACC homer, but his knowledge of the game is better than most).
Jamal Mashburn (Not just because he went to UK, but because I think he is the best NBA analyst on TV).
Ron Jaworski (Best analyst in the NFL, and it's not even close).

Re: Favorite Sports Personalities?
Stuart Scott and his catch phrases.
Boomer on NFL countdown. Hes been there for years hopefully they dont let him go.
Bob Lamey the Colts radio announcer.
I like listening to Reggie Miller even though he sucks at calling games.
Jay Bilas--He normally has good things to say about the Cats.

I gotta go with Erin Andrews and Suzy Kolbert(sp?).
I also like Stuart Scott, Scott VanPelt, Mash, Woody Paige, and my all time favorite broadcaster Cawood Ledford.

I'll throw Jeanine Edwards in there, as long as she doesn't talk.
