Kentucky to play 3 exhibition games in Canada

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky will play three exhibition games in Canada this August.
The Wildcats will face the University of Windsor on Aug. 15 and Aug. 17 and the Western Mustangs on Aug. 16 as they begin to rebuild following their breakthrough season under John Calipari.
Kentucky went 35-3 last year, but stars John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson all left early to go to the NBA.
Calipari said the Canada trip is vital to help incoming freshmen Brandon Knight, Terrence Jones and Enes Kanter develop.
It's Kentucky's first visit to Canada. Kentucky's last foreign trip came in 1995 when the Wildcats played five games in Italy. The ensuing season ended in a national championship.
