Dodson likely gone
By:Matt Jones
This has been a crazy few hours, with stories going in every direction. First, Daniel Orton has declared for the draft and will not hire an agent, and now the website DraftExpress.com claims that Demarcus Cousins (who is at the game) has said that Darnell Dodson will not be back at Kentucky next season. The story from Draft Express’s Twitter account is that Cousins says Dodson is “declaring for the draft.” While I have not heard about the notion of Dodson declaring for the draft, today has been full of stories that Darnell Dodson will not be returning either way to the team.
If Dodson ends up leaving (and everything I have heard today points in that direction), that would mean only four returning players for UK next year, Deandre Liggins, Darius Miller, Jon Hood and Josh Harrellson. Wow.

Re: Dodson likely gone
I was a young guy when the 1999 NBA lockout happened, so I had to dig up some stuff on what it means for all these guys. I can definitely understand it's implications on Wall and Cousins (and Patterson), who's draft stocks probably wouldn't improve enough to compensate for the salary reductions. I don't understand the draft projections for Orton or Bledsoe to make an estimation either way.
Does Dodson actually have any kind of draft projection if he were to go this year? I would think he could benefit from one or two more years in college, but that's just me. Again, I don't really know much about this stuff, so maybe someone can clarify for me.
Of course, whatever happens, best wishes to all these guys whatever happens. If that means we have a rough rebuilding year next season, so be it--at the end of the day it needs to be about the players.

UK doesn't need any Pot heads, no reason for the coaches to have to worry about it all the time.

If that is the case, he needs to leave. UK does not need that kind of problem.
