Steve Prohm is Murray State’s new coach

Murray State has called a press conference for 5:00 ET today to introduce the Racers’ new head coach. It’s looking like that new coach will be Steve Prohm. Prohm spent the last five seasons as Murray’s top assistant and he’s followed Murray’s former coach, Billy Kennedy, around for 12 of the last 13 seasons. Now, Kennedy has moved on to Texas A&M and Prohm is stepping in to fill his shoes at Murray State. Not a bad gig for a first time head coach.

The hiring of Prohm means the demolition of BTI’s hopes and dreams of leading the Racers next season. The good news is he’ll still be around here for that 9:00 am weekday post. We’re all winners.
