Gus Johnson and CBS are parting ways after 16 years, according to SportsIllustrated.com's Richard Deitsch.
Johnson has become a staple of CBS' NCAA Tournament coverage, providing famous calls on buzzer-beaters and crazy finishes with his trademark exuberance, but is leaving CBS after the sides couldn't come to an agreement on a new contract.
Johnson also calls college basketball for the Big Ten Network and has reportedly approached FOX Sports, which recently expanded its college sports coverage with a new deal with the Pac-12.
Johnson reportedly also was in the running to call Thursday Night Football for NFL Network, but the network announced Thursday that Brad Nessler will provide play-by-play this upcoming season.

Re: Gus Johnson Leaving CBS
I wish they would have kept Gus and got rid of Clark Kellogg. Get tired of the "special K" crap and all his "knowledge" during the games. The only person I ever thought was worse on CBS than Kellogg was Billy Packer.
