Thoughts On Bruce Pearl...

Do the Vols stick with Bruce after the season? Does Bruce get canned at the end of the year regardless of how the team finishes or only if they choke in the SEC? If they make a run in the NCAA, does that insure his job for next season at UT? Do you want him back as a UK or UT or other SEC fan? Or maybe, just maybe there's a plane leaving Gainesville or Minneapolis for Knoxville or something ridiculous like that underway?

It might be the creamsicle jacket, the smug grin, the sweat stains, or the violations, but I've always thought Pearl as a big dirty douche. Which makes him a perfect coach for UT and someone to cheer against.

I'm thinking if UT doesn't make the tourney or gets bounced in the first round he'll get the axe. But I kinda hope he doesn't. Every superhero needs a villain.

Maybe I'm feeling a bit overly generous because we swept them this year but I read the articles about what he's accused of and I'm thinking he's been punished enough. Yesterday there was supposed to be another bombshell of a major violation and it was that he talked to a Jr. at a high school game. 'Oh the HORROR!" Let's just burn the man at the stake then! The NCAA is a freaking joke. I understand rules is rules and if he broke a rule then punish him. But there is such a thing as punishment fitting the crime. So what punishment fits a crime like talking to a Jr.? Does an eight game suspension and 1.5 mil salary cut not cover it?

I think Pearl is really full of crap, It doesn't bother me if UT keeps him or not, but it really falls on if the school looking like idiots.
