Rancifer is a very active and productive player vs. the run and pass. Has the size and athleticism for the outside linebacker position at the major level of competition. Displays solid wrap tackling skills; can balance up in space and should be a productive special team%u2019s player. Shows very good flexibility, balance and agility; does a good job with K&D recognition skills; flashes the playing strength to take on and defeat blockers at the point of attack. This prospect has the explosion and quickness to walk up in the line and beat blockers to the ball, creating havoc in the backfield. We see good downhill and stacking ability; this guy has the size to get physical. Demonstrates the quickness to avoid blockers; moves through traffic well with very good pursuit angles to the football; his playing speed gets him to the ball. This prospect shows very good potential as a coverage player; has the fluid hips to get depth in zone coverage; displays good short / medium route awareness with eyes on the QB; possesses good ball skills, anticipation and break on the ball with two INT's to his credit. His ability to run in space leads us to believe he has good man coverage potential. This is a high energy player with the motor and intensity to make big plays all over the field. Rancifer may not be an immediate starter at the next level of play however we see him contributing early on special teams while polishing his skills in preparation for meaningful playing time.

Notes
2010: Registered 187 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions. All-Area selection... 2009: Recorded 124 tackles and one interception... Also recruited by: Texas Tech, Kansas, Iowa State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Southern Miss, Florida International, South Alabama...
