3 Duke football players face gun charges

Three Duke University football players have been charged with felony possession and discharge of a weapon after gunshots were fired early Sunday morning near a residence hall on East Campus, Duke officials said.

The three freshmen - John Drew, Kyle Griswould and Brandon Putnam - were dismissed from the team after their arrest by campus police. They were removed from campus and won't be allowed to return until the charges are resolved. No one was injured in the 3 a.m. incident.

"Obviously, we take this very seriously," Duke spokesman Michael Schoenfeld said.

Campus police recovered the gun.

There is no way this is an accurate story about PUKE players and guns!!!! When the TRUTH comes out, it will be said that these players were actually the newest members of the shooting team and were only out doing some practice shooting for the next competition.....We all know stuff like this does NOT happen at PUKE!!!! This outrages me that a story like this would even be printed......WHY CAN'T THE MEDIA LEAVE PUKE ALONE????? LOL LOL LOL Just Kidding, hope they throw the book at them!!!!
