Kentucky basketball coach gets a street named after him

(WHAS11) - Longtime Kentucky basketball coach, Joe B. Hall receives the special honor of a street named after him in Shepherdsville.

Hall began his career during the 1956 to 57 school year at Shepherdsville High School in Bullitt County.

He went on to become the head coach of the UK men's basketball team from 1972 to 1985.

This afternoon Vine Street was officially renamed Joe B. Hall Avenue.

The 81-year-old hall traveled from Shepherdsville City Hall down to Vine Street for the renaming.
