TUSCALOOSA -- JaMychal Green scored 22 points and Alabama outscored Arkansas 44-30 in the second half to come back for a 73-68 victory today at Coleman Coliseum.
In breaking a four-game losing streak, the Crimson Tide (14-11, 4-7 in the Southeastern Conference) sank 22 of 29 free-throw attempts as it took advantage of 23 Arkansas fouls.
The Razorbacks (13-12, 6-4), whose five-game winning streak ended, sank 6 of 12 free-throw attempts as Alabama committed only 16 fouls.
The 73 points are the most Alabama has scored in an SEC game this season. The previous high was 67 last Saturday in a seven-point loss at Ole Miss.
The victory avenged a 71-59 loss on Jan. 16 at Arkansas.
Arkansas led by 13 points early in the second half, but Alabama went on a 24-5 run to take a 53-47 lead on a three-point play by Mikhail Torrance with 10:29 left in the game.
Arkansas took a 65-64 lead with 2:30 left on a short shot by Marshawn Powell, but Little Rock, Ark., native Anthony Brock sank a 3-point shot for the Tide 22 seconds later to give Alabama the lead for good.
Alabama clinched the victory by making 6 of 6 free-throw attempts down the stretch.
Green pulled down a game-high nine rebounds as the Tide outrebounded Arkansas 38-24 and outscored the Razorbacks 15-4 on second-chance points.
Coming off the bench for the second consecutive game, senior guard Mikhail Torrance scored 12 points -- all in the second half -- for Alabama. Senario Hillman added 11 and Brock had 10.
Montgomery native Courtney Fortson scored 18 points to lead Arkansas, which made six of its first seven 3-point shots but sank only two of 14 for the rest of the game.
