Free Enes has been the chant for a while now around the big Blue Nation. Well, it appears the NCAA may have heeded the request and a resolution may be coming soon, possibly as soon as this afternoon.

Marc Maggard started it all of with the following tweet:

"There now seems to be a timeline for the Enes Kanter ruling from the NCAA....."

Since then, Marc tweeted:

"There is an Enes ruling (sorta).... here are the details..."

Those details are as follows:

"Enes can now practice with the team.

A final ruling will be in by the end of the month.

That is the word coming from the NCAA.... not sure when it will break "officially", but that's what has been handed down for now from the NCAA based on my sources.... not my info, just what I'm hearing..... "

Here's what John Clay reported:

"Apparently Kanter was in the practice gym shooting with the other players when the media entered for interviews today. When the media entered, assistant Coach John Robic came and got Kanter and the two of them walked off the practice floor together.

Then during Calipari’s Q&A part with the media, Cal said that there was a chance that the school could hear something before Friday, but would not play Friday. Later, when asked if Kanter could practice, the coach waffled, saying he didn’t know, and then, on his way into the gym said he was about to find out."

All of this is still speculation, but it appears the Kanter situation may finally be coming to an end. As news breaks, we will keep you updated...

***UPDATE***

it appears Enes will not be eligible to play on Friday so the Cats will start the season with Kanter.
