They are going to be fine. Jones, Knight, and Miller will be very steady. Liggens' motor never stops, and he will be a one man highlight reel.

Got home from the practice, had great seats. Overall they didn't look to bad. Jones is going to be very tough. Knight can hit the 3, has a very nice shot and can also jump. Miller looks about the same. Liggens seems to be driving to the hole a lot more. Poole didn't really do much. Hood missed a ton of lay-ups first half. Lamb played ok. Overall I was very impressed with Jones. Was a good time.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Brandon Knight scored 37 points Tuesday night in Kentucky's annual Blue/White intrasquad scrimmage, leading the Blue team to a 101-74 win.

Knight made 14 of 20 shots from the field and also had eight rebounds, four assists and two turnovers. Many of his points were on dunks or layups. Two of his three 3-pointers came in the second half.

Knight is taking over at point guard this year after John Wall was selected by the Washington Wizards with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft following one season in Lexington. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., native was part of another strong recruiting class for coach John Calipari.

Calipari once again pointed out that Wall and Knight are much different players.

"I grabbed [Brandon] after and I said, 'Brandon, we have to just define your game a little bit. I haven't had a point guard shoot like you,' " Calipari said Tuesday night.

Knight had nine points at halftime but picked up speed in the second half while the rest of the Wildcats seemed winded. Kentucky had only 10 eligible players so everyone played 40 minutes.

Knight said he thought about the lack of subs occasionally during the scrimmage.

"Of course that goes through your mind but Coach always talks about breaking barriers," Knight said. "That's when as soon as you get that thought, you push through it. That's conditioning."

Terrence Jones, another talented newcomer, finished with 29 points and eight rebounds for the Blue squad.

Freshman center Enes Kanter watched from the bench, dressed in street clothes, as Kentucky waits for a decision on his eligibility. The 6-foot-11 Kanter must sit out team activities while the NCAA determines whether he lost his amateur status while playing for a Turkish club team.

Kentucky opens the regular season Nov. 12 against East Tennessee State.
