Kentucky sent out a release on Monday asking fans to fill Rupp Arena for ESPN's College GameDay telecast the morning of Saturday Feb. 13.
Coach John Calipari is quoted in the release as saying a large crowd can help sell UK basketball.
The show will run from 11 a.m. to noon. Later that night, Kentucky plays Tennessee.
In addition to watching the GameDay show, fans will hear from Calipari and UK President Lee Todd, interact with former players and receive a commemorative UK2K poster that will only be available to GameDay attendees.
During GameDay, UK will also promote the President's Scholarship Initiative, a fund-raising campaign that is aimed at providing young Kentuckians the opportunity to attend the University of Kentucky. Calipari is a co-chair of the initiative.
The first 2,000 students with a valid UK ID will receive a ticket to GameDay at the already scheduled student-ticket lottery in Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday. General-public GameDay tickets are free (attendees will have to pay the Ticketmaster convenience fee). Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 25. There is a limit of eight tickets per transaction.

We may not sellout Rupp for the Gameday show, but there will be at least 10-12,000 show up.
