Deja vu: USC beats Clemson again, on to CWS finals
South Carolina earned a spot in the College World Series championship after beating arch-rival Clemson 4-3 Saturday for the second-straight night at Rosenblatt Stadium.
USC will face UCLA in a best-of-three series that begins Monday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. UCLA eliminated TCU earlier Saturday.
For the Gamecocks on Saturday, freshman Christian Walker was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single. Whit Merrifield had three hits, including a single, double and triple.

Starter Sam Dyson went 6.2 innings, struck out five and allowed two earned runs. Clemson starter Casey Harman lasted 6.1 innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out five.
Matt Price earned the win in relief.
The win was the fourth consecutive elimination game victory for South Carolina (52-16).
After an opening loss to Oklahoma, the Gamecocks defeated Arizona State and Oklahoma before beating Clemson (45-25) twice in this CWS.
The wins also have the Gamecocks flashing back to eight years ago.
In 2002, the same scenario occurred with USC needing a pair of victories to get past an unbeaten Clemson team into the national championship game. The Gamecocks proceeded to win by scores of 12-4 and 10-2 to do just that.
