Wildcats Strike

John Calipari (US Presswire) Rumors of Calipari leaving to NBA? So what. Kentucky losing five players to the NBA? Big deal. Nothing seems to slow down John Calipari and the Wildcats. Thanks to a late rush that included landing two top 10 players -- PG Brandon Knight and SF Terrence Jones, who decommitted from Washington to sign with the Cats on the final day of the late signing period -- and four of the nation's top 30, Kentucky takes the top spot in the final class rankings.
Ohio State, which held the top spot for most of the year, is second, with North Carolina, Memphis and Syracuse rounding out the top five.
A few teams made big jumps, like Texas going from unranked in our last rankings to No. 8 on the strength of landing Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph, and NC State climbing into the top 10. LSU, Connecticut and Kansas also joined the final top 25 class rankings.
