Lost Fact From Auburn Game

Patterson didn't score a single point in the second half. WTF happened? I know at one point he hadn't taken a shot in the half.

The 2nd half was very poorly executed offensively. He got very few touches & Wall was a little out of control going to the basket.

Definitely the worst game Wall has had yet. He was out of control A LOT.

Before conference play, I was convinced Wall was the next #1 pick in the NBA draft. Now, maybe not. He still has A LOT to learn.

I thought Bledsoe was outta control yesterday, Tried to do to much, not sure if his family was there or not.

They were there. He just went back to his old ways.

He's still the #1 overall pick, and still the best player in the country.

He's also 19 years old. Games like yesterday are going to happen for him. Luckily for us yesterday was the exception, not the norm.

Talked to an NBA scout from Minnesota last night at the USC game. He said Wall was number one without a doubt and that everyone wants him. This guy is based in the Carolinas and said he couldn't wait to see him in Columbia.

Asked him about Cousins and he said he was garbage. Said he needs at least another year, maybe two to work on his skills. Said he would be another Randolph Morris if he tried to come out this year.

Hate to say it but I agree on Cousins. He is a beast but his offense is terrible. Patterson has much better offensive skills than Cousins right now. When Cousins gets the ball I feel like the chances of him turning it over or throwing up a wild shot are WAYYY higher than him scoring with it. In my opinion, which means absolutely nothing, Cousins needs to stay another year for sure at this point. He needs to mature majorly. If he can do that in another year then great. If not, he needs to stay until he does. I just don't see him having the type of attitude that "i'm gonna stay another year to mature and get better" though. I could see Wall saying that before Cousins. His ego is just too big to not try and be a one and done guy.

No doubt Wall is 1st pick. Everybody is gonna have an off night every now and then. Like you said, at least yesterday was a rare occasion and not the norm.

Cousins is still a big dude and has the skills to be a top 20 pick I believe, I agree he does need to mature some, but he seems to be getting better.

watched the game again and i notived how stationary patterson was on the offensive end. he was hardly moving.

Yeah, I hope Coach Cal got on Pat some. He needs to move more on offense. When Wall and Bledsoe are out of control Pat needs to take control of the game. I was not impressed with the way the Auburn guards were constantly driving to the basket. They had a great strategy the second half, lure Cousins away from the post and drive and kick out, drive and kick out. I think the win will benefit us in the long run but they are making it interesting. I remember a few years ago Tubby was making everything interesting but we were winning some and losing some. At least with Coach Cal, we are winning again and again.

I just don't see Cousin's being one and done. No doubt he'd get drafted, and would develope into a great power forward in time. But another year at this level, with a summer spent on his offensive skillset, and he's a lock lottery pick. You can't teach what he has the most of, and that is size, nimbleness, and soft hands. Put that with some offensive skills that can be taught, and you've got a man that will be an all-star multiple times.

Cousins should come back for a sophomore season but I think he already has it in his head that he's leavin after this year. I think he knows that 30 NBA teams will not pass on him and draft him based on potential. I highly doubt he sees himself inside a classroom next year

Cousins offense doesn't worry me at all. He doesn't have the greatest footwork yet, but he finishes and usually with a ton of contact. His footwork is better than every big man that has guarded him this year. He is a beast and I love him. I know the scout knows way more than I do, but they could be posturing for draft position later. If he comes out, he is top 20.....without a doubt. Please tell the scout that if he comes out this year I will bet him whatever he wants that he won't be undrafted like Randolph.
