Gators looking good
By the first timeout in the opener on Friday, I called my buddy and told him we are going to the Final Four. I'm calling it now. Florida and Kentucky will play for the National Championship.

Better call your buddy back and tell him not to buy the tickets yet. LOL!!!

Why? Because we lost to three unbeaten teams on the road by single digits? I'm sticking by by pick.

No, because you barely beat an unranked team at home in overtime.

Not a big deal. UK struggled to beat Old Dominion. Are you writing them off?

Not quite apples to apples comparison but I'm sure we are looking at it from different angles.
I guess what I'm saying is I had not watched Florida this year until I caught the Arizona game. They did not look good to me. Maybe it was just an off night but I was not impressed. Of course the SEC has laid many eggs here in the early season.
Kentucky got lucky on the last second shot against Carolina, not so much against IU. I hope Calipari is teaching how you should defend the 3 ball.

They looked like crap that night against a good Arizona team and still managed to win the game. That's the stuff of championship teams. You're shots aren't going to drop every game. You gotta figure out other ways to win. We did that. I'm sticking with my pick. Kats vs. Gators in Final Four.

OK I change my pick. We suck. NIT material. No effort. No heart. If Brad Beal is a one and done then the NBA is in bad shape. Kid can't make a layup. We will be lucky to go 8-8. screwing Austin Peay goes in to TBA and wins and we get our asses kicked. Never been more ashamed of my team. Horrible. They make our football team look good.

Maybe you just need for me to stop watching them. Every time I catch their game they look like POOP.

Saw the Gators in person on Saturday in Columbia. They're talented, good size and can stroke the three. The Gamecocks hung with them for about the first 25 minutes and then fell apart when they stopped hitting threes.
Not overly impressed with the Gators but they're solid and I'd say dangerous when hitting the threes well. If you're not, then a little better than average is about it, just what I saw yesterday.

Well Donovan got into their grills after the UT debacle. He ran a couple of days of boot camp as in"my boot in your ass until you learn to play hard" camp. It seems to have helped a bit. They were not at full strength against USC. Young didn't start and played very little. He has tendonitis. He's our only good defender down low. In the first half Carolina just pounded us down low and threw up some impossible threes that went down. You knew that couldn't last the whole game. Plus UT is not as bad as advertised. They probably should have beaten UK if not for some bad shot selection in the second half. Now that Donovan has given them a good swift kick in the balls, they may be alright. Just in case, STOP WATCHING US STUCK!
How about that Stokes kid from UT. He looks like a keeper.

Re: Gators looking good
Stokes is a man! UT will be much better off once he gets in the groove and is on the court for 25+ minutes.
However, didn't watch the game but how do they play so well against UF, MSU, and UK then get beat by Georgia?
They need a true point guard. Golden needs to be the 2 man. If they had that with Stokes it would be a different story but oh well. They will do well to finish .500 in the SEC.

I don't know except maybe they just suck on the road. If I was UConn I'd be a bit worried going into TBA this week. Of course MSU was a road game too. Maybe they are just one of those teams that plays to the level of the competition?

If I change my pick every other day, I would look like Nostradamus too.

Re: Gators looking good
I didn't change my pick. I have Florida in the Final Four in all my brackets. I may have had some post game venting after some crappy performances but I'm not at all surprised by this. When this team shows up it's pretty darn good, as we saw the last time they met UK.

Re: Gators looking good
After I saw their bracket I put Florida in my final four also. I thought they would be beating Missou but I felt like they would get hot.
