Recruit Nixes Clemson Over Chick-fil-A

Four-star linebacker Cassanova McKinzy followed his pallet in choosing Auburn over Clemson on National Signing Day.

“(It was) kind of the environment and plus they had no Chick-fil-A on campus,” McKinzy said about Clemson, according to Alabama’s WIAT-TV on Wednesday. “You had to go like, probably like 15 minutes off campus to go to like a real restaurant. Their café was kind of small.”

How does Clemson expect to land top talent without a Chick-fil-A Deluxe within walking distance? We don’t know either. Check the video below for McKinzy’s lament.

It’s clear that the linebacker has a future in advertising if football doesn’t work out. Clemson will open the 2012 season against Auburn in the, wait for it, Chick-Fil-A Classic at the Georgia Dome next fall.
