A year of success

I know some fans are on ledges and writing hate tweets to some of the players, but this year can be deemed as nothing other than a success. After all of those road losses, I was determined I'd be happy if UK just made it to the Sweet 16. Now don't get me wrong, I would've sold babies on Ebay for a championship, but these guys fought past a million doubters and came up just an inch short. I'll always be a believer that if you don't make your foul shots you don't deserve to win. But this has been one of my favorite teams to watch in all of UK's history.

And I'm especially proud, like everyone, of Josh Harrellson. This guy went to a bench warmer to a season that has given him a new life to look forward to. The loss sucks, but just be happy about that.

I wanna sit here and be irate at how bad Miller and Knight choked, and take out Jones' ankles for going 0-5 from the line, but I just can't hate these guys. They weren't supposed to win the SEC tournament. They weren't supposed to beat WV, Ohio St. and North Carolina. But they did and they brought UK back to a place we haven't been to in years. They deserve nothing but praise.

Championships aren't easy to come by. In over a hundred years UK's got seven, and they're in second place.

I'm already ready for next season and I hope everyone sticks around, because I believe none of them are ready. Always Go Big Blue.

Anyone who dogs this team is an idiot. Plain and simple. They're stupid. These guys played great and they never quit on us. They never quit on themselves. They should hold their heads high. They're champions, even if they score says otherwise.

This was a tough season overall. But, at least we went down with a fight. I love a team that never quits.

I'm proud to be a fan of this team. Hats off to Cal and his boys. Great season.

I am very proud of them, last year elite 8, this year final 4, They should hold their heads high. Proud to have them as Kentucky players.

Me too. I can't think of a team I've been more proud of. These guys gave it their all and didn't quit. Can't hate on that.

Maineiac and Suck It - both well said and I've got nothing more to add except that we beat North Carolina, which was huge for me living and working in the Charlotte area and the fact that we took down the Big 10 and ACC in this tournament.

We got back to Big Boy Basketball this year and hopefully the freshmen return and with the new guys, we have a deeper bench and can return again next year.

I am retardedly excited for next year. I don't think anyone will ever replace Jorts for me, but the Davis kid coming to UK has so much upside, I more excited to see what he can do than I am Gilchrist or Teague.

And if Knight and Jones stay, which I think they should, and considering Liggins and Miller will be seniors, if UK isn't pre-season #1 someone needs fired and beaten.

I keep forgetting to say, beating UNC was my national title game. I hate those bums worse than Duke and watching Roy take the loss was oh so sweet.

Another positive about this tourny. I think CBS has finally got over their love affair with Latner and his screwing shot. I didnt see it once.

ANYBODY who criticizes this team is just plain wrong. This team gave it their all and gave us a GREAT season. I hope they all come back, but I know that is not realistic. They make me proud to be a fan of the GREATEST TRADITION IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL. GO CATS!!!!!

This team could easily have folded their tents & quit after a rough stretch on the road in SEC play. But instead they bonded and were determined to make this season a success, which they did. I'm as proud of this bunch as I've ever been of any past teams and came up just one point short of the Championship. They fought to the bitter end which is all we can ask for from them.
