Vandy pulled their usual early exit, Tennessee stayed in the locker room the second half. Hate to see them both suck in the tournament year after year. I think GA will beat Washington. Just pondering, would Arkansas consider Bruce Pearl?

I was at the UT/Michigan game today sitting near the UT bench. Pearl lit into Hopson early in the first half and it appeared that he didn't do much the rest of the game. After the game, I wasn't in the post-game interviews but the UT players were in the interview area quite a long time because Bruce came in really late. The Vols took some very tough questions from the media on hand from all over. They admitted they stopped playing and said Pearl didn't say anything about the future because he doesn't know anything about the future. When Pearl came out, as imagined, he was bombarded with questions as well starting with his status as head coach. Not a good day for the Vols and not a good day for the SEC. Charlotte has been a house of pain for UT and today Georgia lost there as well - becoming a tough place for SEC teams.

You could tell UT quit. They scored only 16 points in the second half. I'm guessing maybe the Pearl situation goes a little deeper than what's on the surface. But the thing is, I don't like the guy at all, but that makes him a perfect coach for UT. The Vols need to always be a villain, and they need a villain coach. Still think he's gone, though.
