Lunardi sees UK’s range of seeds as 3 through 5

ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi said Wednesday that he sees Kentucky as no better than a No. 3 seed and no worse than a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament no matter what happens in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

Lunardi was then asked if UK’s opponent in its first SEC Tournament game could do serious damage to the Cats’ profile by winning that game on Friday.

Told that Kentucky will play either South Carolina or Ole Miss, Lunardi said, “Not like Auburn-LSU bad.

“They have some wiggle room,” Lunardi said of Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament seeding being affected by what happens in Atlanta. But not much wiggle room. As of Wednesday, Lunardi had Kentucky as a No. 4 seed.

Sounds reasonable. I'd say if they win it they are a 3 and if they lose the first game they are a 5. Anything else is probably a 4 seed.
