Jimmy Dykes

I'm the only one who wanted to smack him for talking about THE NAIL all the way through the game, Also I think he is in love with Pearl.

At least we were not playing Arkansas and listening to him talk about the "Vicious cuts!" Rotnei Clark makes to get open.

Dykes is easily the most annoying announcer going. Remember the Florida game where he kept talking about the "look" Calathes had on his face an hour before the game? If he didn't say that at least fifty times, I'm a monkey.

I wanted to drive a nail in his face during the UT game.

I agree. He gets one thing on his mind and becomes a parrot.

As long as we drive it past the nail we were good.lol

The UK vs Vandy game is on CBS tomm, don't think Yikes its Dykes well be there, at least I hope not.

There was a game chat that we were making fun of this and coming up with Dykesisms. They were hilarious.

He made it almost to the end of the UT UF game. Then when UF took the lead he said Tennessee needs to make violent cuts if they want to win this game. I almost fell off the couch laughing

Ha! You're right. It was violent instead of vicious.

Violent Cuts, The Nail, Mother in Law Defense, Calathes' Game Face, just to name a few. But the one that made me fell out of my chair was in the UK-GA game at rupp. We double teamed someone (say Trey Thompkins) in the corner and left the middle open so another UGA player cut towards the basket, got the ball, and made a layup. Dykes referred that play to a "Mouse Getting The Cheese". Anybody else remember that?

I do. How about "turnovers on an acceptable part of the floor" or something like that in a UK UT game a couple years back?

And can we go one game without him bringing up that he used to be a coach at Kentucky?

Kind of like Joe Dean Sr. bringing up Joe Dean Jr.'s name every chance he got.

His name is escaping me right now (fat center for Miss State), did anyone else think Jimmy was putting it in a nice way that this guy sucks on all levels and should be executed? Was another one of those things he wouldn't let go. We get it, the kid is lazy, fat, and a team distraction.

He's been a bust. And to think their fans waited around a year to see him play. What a disappointment.

Totally forgot about that one. I remember screaming back "When is a turnover ever acceptable you freaking moron"?

Here's to hoping Mark Gottfried replaces Dykes next season as the lead analyst for SEC games on ESPN.
