UK has pulled out of the DeAndre Daniels recruitment

Sources close to the DeAndre Daniels recruiting saga have informed me that within the past few hours, UK has rescinded it's scholarship offer to DeAndre Daniels.

While many recruiting observers have reported that Kansas is the choice for Daniels, DeAndre and his father have repeatedly made the assertion that no decision has been made. Additionally, many sources close to the recruitment confirm that while Kansas has a good opportunity, the recruitment was still in process.

As many have noted, Kansas University does not currently have a basketball scholarship for this calendar year. For Daniels to attend Kansas, he will need to apply for financial aid to cover the cost of tuition and expenses. Even with financial aid, the Daniels family will responsible for thousands of dollars to cover out of state expenses for this coming semester. Until the final figure is determined, the Daniels family will not be able to make a decision as to where DeAndre will attend college.

Due to the length of this recruitment and the need to move forward with the season, UK has decided to not recruit DeAndre Daniels any longer. Sources tell me this decision is not a reflection on the Daniels family in any way, but simply a decision in the best interest of the team for this season.
