How Hot should Joker's seat be? Empty How Hot should Joker's seat be?

Post  Blue Dude Tue Nov 30, 2010 12:04 am

I was listening to WKRD's afternoon underdogs show earlier and they mentioned across the state Joker Phillip's approval rating is very low. I would have to concur with the Card's guys on this and they even suggested at UL/UK bowl game in Birmingham.

Would you favor a UK/UL bowl Game?

And on a scale of 1-10 (1- ice cold, 10- fire his ass) where would you rate Joker's standing?

--------------

Blue Dude's opinion: I favor a UK/UL Bowl game.

My rating: 10 of 10. Cool

I don't see him going anywhere, Its his first year as head coach and it would look bad if UK just said you suck and throw him out the door, I say they will give him another 2 years and see how he does, Joker is going to have to learn to try new things or he knows he will be gone. So I will say his ass on the hot seat right now is 4 out of 10, A UofL , UK game would be pretty good, if we win it would be good just to beat UofL twice in football. But I won't lose any sleep if I miss watching it.

True it's his first year as official head coach, but he's been with the program long enough to know when you only have FLORIDA on the books you need to do better than 6-6. He's been in charge of the offense and pretty much had free reign with them under Brooks so the first year head coach argument doesn't fly with me, at all. Thats just my opinion on the basis that he pretty much seemed to have no say or decided not to have any say what goes on defensively, so he might was well still be an Offensive Coordinator or Head coach of the offense, or whatever ridiculous title he held. Again, thats just my opinion as a whole.

I know what ya mean, but what I am saying since he has been there for so long, UK just won't fire him after one year as head coach. UK would look silly by not giving him a chance just after one year. And I hate to say this but some people would throw the race card into it, even tho we know better.
